Fullsteam Brewery Tour

Come and Tour Fullsteam Brewery on July 26th at 6:00pm!
Have fun seeing first hand the brewing process and then try out the local brew and play ping pong with the Chapter.

Free to Rho Tau Chapter, GWIS members.

The cost is $5 per non-member and includes a flight of beer and a pint glass.

Enjoy the Flowers

Join GWIS for a private tour of the Sarah P. Duke Gardens 
on Sunday, April 17th, starting at 1:30pm
This tour will last about one hour and will include a lot of walking around the gardens--remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
The event is free for GWIS members and $5 for non-members.

GWIS is excited to present three FREE events in March!



When: March 10th - Networking Event/History of GWIS
6-8 pm
Where: NIEHS, Rall building (Main campus), Rodbell auditorium

About: At this networking event, Jennifer Ingram, the National GWIS president, will give a brief presentation on the history of GWIS. It is our 90th anniversary this year. Come celebrate with us, network with fellow women in science, and meet the new officers for GWIS 2011! Refreshments will also be served at this event. When: March 22nd - Community Outreach - Weatherstone Elementary Science Fair

About: Weatherstone elementary school would love GWIS members and women scientists in the area to serve as judges at their science fair. Stay after to meet with the kids, who would love to meet and great with "real scientists"! What a great way to encourage the children in our community to explore science! About: We are looking for a few helpers to conduct science demonstrations and sell raffle tickets for prizes. If you can't help out, stop by, say hello, and buy a ticket! Career Workshop- 01-20-2011

The Rho Tau Chapter of the Graduate Women in Science is proud to announce its first Career Workshop.

When: January 20, 2011, 9:30 am to 12 pm


Where: NC State BTEC (850 Oval Drive, NC State Centennial Campus, Raleigh)


Fees: The event is free for GWIS members. Non-members will be required to pay $10 cash at the door.
