Rho Tau Wine Tasting and Silent Auction

Please put the evening of 11 Sept 2010 aside for the Rho Tau Wine Tasting and Silent Auction Fundraiser at the Apex Beverage Co. We will be tasting a selection of whites and reds, enjoying delicious finger foods chosen to pair well with the wines, and bidding on fabulous donations provided by local business.

Tickets will be $20. I hope you and all your friends/family will join us. All proceeds will go towards the chapter programming.

Dr. Susan Henning's lecture on Postnatal GI Development and her career

Thank you, again, for all those to fought the terrible traffic and "bomb threat" on I-40 to join us for Dr. Susan Henning's lecture.  For those of you who missed it, Dr. Henning was the recipient of an honorary membership from the national GWIS organization in 1999 for her outstanding contribution to scientific research.  Her research in GI development has been honored many times, and she has authored more than 100 papers, making her clearly an expert in her field.  What we did not know is just how amazingly she has been able to juggle major innovations in her research with raising 3 boys - while having a sense of humor about it all.  Her talk was inspiring, insightful, and funny. 

Our next event will be a fundraiser wine tasting at the Apex Beverage Co on the 11th of September.  More information will follow.  As Dr. Henning is a prominent member of our chapter, she will be joining us there.  I would urge you all to talk with her at the event and discover the wealth of experience we have in our organization.
