A Behind the Scenes Tour of the Morehead Planetarium

The planetarium staff have designed a special program for the GWIS audience that will focus of how the exhibits are researched from cutting-edge physics and astronomy and translated into accessible material.

Parking can be found at either at the front of the 
Morehead building or off of Rosemary Street for nominal fees.

There is no charge for the tour, but space is limited to the first 30 respondents.

GWIS Fellowships Seminar

The Rho Tau Chapter of the Graduate Women in Science invites you to an informational seminar about the GWIS National Fellowships program. 

Dr. Jennifer Ingram, President of the National GWIS has been kind enough to volunteer her time to talk about the various fellowship opportunities provided by GWIS. Graduate students as well as post-docs are eligible for these fellowships which range from $1000 to $10000 depending on scientific merit and field of study.
